The consumer confidence grew in March for the current and future situation
Despite the increase, the index remains below the level that separates optimism from pessimism

The consumer confidence rose in March from the previous month due to a better assessment of the current situation and expectations, as the consumer confidence indicator (CCI) released today by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).
The index stood at 76.3 points in March, 4.8 points above the February, while the current situation indicator reached 60.4 points (compared to 55 in February) and the 92 expectations, 2 (88 in February).
Despite the improvement, the ICC is still below the 100 points mark the boundary between a positive and optimistic perception, and a negative and pessimistic.
