The Guardia Civil has launched an operation Monday against glorifying terrorism in social networks and Internet. The agents have acted in several Spanish provinces , under the leadership of the National Court judge Eloy Velasco. Detainees do not form a network, but each makes different terrorist groups praise (ETA and international jihadist terrorism , especially , but also others ) via messages on social networks. Currently 20 are arrested, but the final number of detainees will be higher, as reported by sources of counterterrorism .
The operation was ordered by Judge Eloy Velasco , acting for the guard, who , once the operation is completed , distribute each of the causes (possibly one for each arrest ) in the six trial courts of the High Court. Velasco has proof of " snapshots " of messages released through the accounts of the detainees, who are either victims or offensive to exalt criminal actions of terrorist groups .
These same sources have indicated that the transaction provides for the arrest of more than 20 people accused of exalting terrorism through their messages. The operation is still open and may not end until Tuesday.
So far there have been arrests in the Basque Country , Navarra , Catalonia, Galicia and Asturias against people using social networks like Twitter or Facebook to send messages allegedly criminal . These are some in which, for example, mocked victims of the terrorist group ETA as Irene Villa, Miguel Angel Blanco and Fernando Trapero , the policeman killed by the band in Capbreton (France ) in 2007. Sources of research have stated that at least one of the arrests occurred in Lugo. In the Basque Country have been arrested four Vizcaya .
The operation has been launched in the next week that the National Court Prosecutor initiate proceedings against those responsible for research of the Twitter account @ HumorrNegro for taunt in this network of disability journalist Irene Villa and other victims of terrorism, and inciting hatred with racist , according to a report by the Office of Disability Care , the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, which has had access to this journal. The Civil Guard prepared a comprehensive report on the taunts towards the victims .
