The mayor of the city traumatized by the attacks was present throughout the event.
The mayor of Toulouse, Peter Cohen, was offered by the authorities police protection during attacks of Toulouse. He refused. As he refused to be followed by cameras during his tours in town.
At the City Council, held after the completion of the killings, the Socialist thanked strongly the action of forces. He also paid tribute to the Interior Minister, Claude Gueant.
Peter Cohen, who arrived quickly on the scene, school-Ozar Hatorah Jewish, while the victims' bodies were still present, had been upset by what he saw.
