The same day that Pescanova in preconcurso descuadres creditors and their accounts, held a tense meeting of shareholders, a hedge fund, Fidelity International Limited (FIL), residing in a tax haven (Bermuda), has declared a 1.010% stake in the capital of the company. That portion, which amounts to 290,352 shares, worth now (while still frozen titles in 5.9 euros) 1.71 million euros have been invested in the Galician group, during the crisis of debt restructuring.
The company has informed the National Stock Exchange that on March 11 passed the threshold of 1% with the purchase of 22,888 shares of the company Galician. In the form of communication to the CNMV, the company claims to have residence in a tax haven, through a box in which the supervisor can ask this about all companies reveal a position.
Fidelity has a single signature on the CNMV, ie that any funds that operate within Fidelity (or even several at once) have been able to buy shares in Pescanova, which total that amount. So the firm can not explain what strategy responds that operation.
Moreover, as reported by Europa Press, the fund Luxempart, third shareholder of the firm with a 5.837%, has divested the company's convertible bonds, specifically of 172,890 titles, which admitted 4.1 million euros , less the exercise price of 28.92 euros would be. Luxempart, which does not disclose the buyer of these bonds, maintained after the operation a total 414,938 titles.
