The electricity tariff of last resort (TUR), which customers are welcomed with a contracted capacity of up to 10 KW (most of the homes and some SMEs), will drop an average of 6.62% in the second quarter review the year which comes into force on 1 April, as reported by the Ministry of Industry. The decline was expected after news that the result of the auction of the cost of energy yielded a 15% cut.
The last resort tariff is calculated based on two terms: the access fees and the cost of energy, which weigh about 50% of each receipt. The term energy is calculated from the result of an auction held between providers of last resort (CESUR) while access fees, which fund the costs of the electricity system, are set by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
Moreover, during the second quarter is not necessary to update the last resort tariff (TUR) of natural gas, which will not change due to virtually no progress in the price of raw materials.
