Central African Republic President François Bozizé, has fled the capital, Bangui, taken Sunday by the rebels. The French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, has confirmed the flight. "Confirmed the flight of President, I urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint," stressed the minister. Earlier, there were rumors that he had crossed the Ubangi River, which separates the provincial capital of Democratic Republic of Congo.

A spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry has said Sunday morning that Paris has no intention of sending more troops at this time to Central African Republic.
