Mauro Varela has submitted his "irrevocable resignation" as president of Novacaixagalicia and regretted that his statements "had offended" people affected by the preference.
Last week, Mauro Varela, president of Novacaixagalicia said that those affected by the preference shares had bought the financial derivative "knowing what they bought." Outrage erupted in a collective, that of the 40,000 affected by what they term "scam", already outraged.
