The Spanish Government has kept the European Central Bank (ECB) of its plans to recapitalize their banks and debt problem directly with the Frankfurt-based institution had no objections, told Reuters on Monday a source of Executive Mariano Rajoy.
"The ECB has been consulted on this closely. This solution has already been used earlier by Germany and Ireland and is perfectly valid (...) I understand that (the ECB) has no problem," said the source.
On Sunday, a government source said the government is considering signing some or all of the capital of 19,000 million euros to carry out the matrix Bankia, BFA, with public debt then try to redeem these securities for liquidity at the Bank European Central lowering the cost of funding injection into the old box.
