The Minister of Economy and Competitiveness Luis de Guindos, has advanced Tuesday the Institute of Accounting and Auditing (ICAC) under the ministry, is analyzing the audits conducted in all nationalized banks to verify that there has been bad accounting practices, as it did with Banco de Valencia, which ended by bringing disciplinary proceedings. This was stated during the control session the Government in the Senate, where he explained to the media that it is "technical inspection" input which need not be a disciplinary.
Also, the economy minister pointed out that the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring (FROB) has submitted a protocol for detecting fraud to those entities in which participation is a protocol that is already being implemented.
