The fall in sales of computers is directly proportional to the rise of tablets. Again, IDC, which estimates the technology market, has had to adjust its annual sales forecasts, downward in the case of computers and the rise in the case of tablets.
IDC says now that computer sales will not fall this year by 1.3% and said four months ago, but 7.8%. At the same time, tablet sales will rise this year by 59% to 229.3 million units, up from 144.5 million in 2012, so that as early as this year will outnumber tablets laptops.
IDC goes further to ensure that 20155, the tablet will exceed the entire computer industry, both fixed and portable, which some predicted would not ever.
IDC analyst Loren Loverde see that what is happening is that the tablet is not just a fashion item or cheaper than the computer. It is not a matter of price, but consumers have changed their habits and has noticed that you do not need a powerful computer for what it does normally, navigate, communicate with social networks, email or downloaded applications, and with a battery that lasts more than a day.
