The persistence of the economic downturn in Spain, which has since 2008 lost in the crisis, has boosted the number of long-term unemployed. According to data released this morning by the National Statistics Institute, the number of people who left their jobs for three years or more increased by 48.6% in 2012, to over a million. For the size of the establishment, in 2012 only increased the number of employees in companies of 250 or more workers, with about 20,000 more than in 2011.
