More than 300 illegal immigrants reached the Spanish coast on board a score of boats and other vessels since last Thursday, mainly to the coast of Murcia and Andalusia. With this latest surge, the number of immigrants arriving in Spain have tried so far this year by sea more than 3,900.

In Murcia, the Integrated External Surveillance System located in the early hours of Sunday six boats with 64 immigrants of Algerian origin on board, trying to reach the coast by Calblanque and Murcia Cabo de Palos, Cartagena, which are 128 and the arrested in the past three days in this community.
The coast of Almeria has also received in recent days a large number of illegal immigrants. On Friday, 14 migrants were rescued from a boat located about 47 nautical miles east of Cabo de Gata. On Saturday, arrived at the port of Almeria a boat with 15 immigrants of Tunisian origin, while yesterday coastguard intercepted another boat carrying 19 immigrants inside vessel off the coast of Cabo de Gata.
In Ceuta, another 14 immigrants were intercepted last weekend. The rescue boat spotted a dinghy Gadir seven Moroccan immigrants, who included three minors, and a boat which was adrift with four sub-Saharan Africans on board. In addition, the Civil Guard in Ceuta yesterday prevented access to the country three Algerian immigrants who had begun to swim an illegal crossing from the coast of Morocco.
Mallorca, meanwhile, yesterday received the first small boat so far this year, with 14 migrants on board.
