The Board of Directors of Bankia received a total remuneration of 1.8 million euros in 2013 , which was 44% less than the perceived last year , although the company declined last year the number of members of this body to ten . In 2012 , however, grew to 18 members under the leadership of Rodrigo Rato until his resignation in May of that year.
In its annual report on Corporate Governance , submitted Wednesday to the National Securities Market Commission ( CNMV ) , Bankia explains that the remuneration of its president, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, was 500,000 euros , the maximum allowed for an entity nationalized , the same as the CEO president, José Sevilla .
Of the total remuneration Goirigolzarri, 464,000 euros correspond to the salary earned cash in the company and another € 36,000 is what wins in group companies. The other 800,000 euros were perceived by the rest of the non-executive directors , at a rate of 100,000 euros each, the report added.
The Annual Corporate Governance Report 2012 comprises the Board of Directors received 3.22 million euros.
Moreover, Bankia has achieved so far net gains amounting to about 514.2 million euros from the sale of investments , according to information provided by the company on their website and updated until 18 February. In total , the company had revenues of 2418.6 million from the sale of its investments in companies such as IAG , NH Hotels and Mapfre.
