Minister Soria is optimistic about an extension of Plan PIVE

Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism Jose Manuel Soria, expressed his optimism regarding the renewal or extension of PIVE Plan, aid to the purchase of automobiles. Speaking at the Forum Cinco Dias, Soria said that "the Government agrees, but still we are studying. I think I will, but I can not say this emphatically," and even added that it works to increase the endowment and the possibility of extending it to other vehicle segments.
Last week, industry sources spoke with great optimism regarding the extension of aid for which granted within three weeks speculated approval and a budget of one hundred million euros compared to 75 million plan and exhausted, apart from a separate piece approved for commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tons.
The minister hinted that the PIVE Plan launched on 1 October "has worked quite well, but could not prevent that 2012 was a bad year for the car, second sector of the Spanish economy."
However, he said that has served to revive the production of vehicles, the advertising market, the movement of customers at dealerships and tax revenues.
Data provided by the Minister as last minute already consolidated half the funds firm car sales and 95% in stocks.
The minister also addressed other reforms within their departameto. Soria has acknowledged that the Government will reconsider the progressive toll system (according to which consumers will pay more in terms of power and consumption) as contained in the proposed electric tolls for 2013 that have not been approved yet.
