Israeli aircraft attacked a target near the border between Syria and Lebanon, Western diplomatic sources reported in Israel. The attack took place this morning, the sources said, asking not to be identified and did not specify which part of the border operation took place. The Israeli military has declined to confirm or deny the moment having conducted operations in the area. "We are not commenting on the matter", said a military spokeswoman. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned yesterday of a possible attack on Israel from Syria.
The attack reportedly took place after the head of the Israeli air force, Gen. Amir Eshel, make sure yesterday that "Syria is undergoing tectonic shifts" and that "given their massive arsenals, Israel may be dealing with unconventional weapons on its border ".
