The money borrowed from banks to businesses fell again in February with a cut of 11% from the same month in 2013 , according to data published by the Bank of Spain . This contrasts with the recovery balance to be found in the official discourse of the government, which ensures that credit to SMEs and is already growing families , for which recourse to a particular part of official statistics .
Thus, on one hand, the balance of outstanding loans to Spanish banks return fell to 636.138 million in February, down 11% and the lowest since 2006. Meanwhile, the total financing companies stood at 1.05 million , down 6.5% .

Facing the steady decline of the call outstanding , whose evolution confirms that there are still more entries amortization and loans in arrears , the Government is set to the new finance section to argue that there is a change in trend after the restructuring of the sector and improvement of the risk premium .
"Financing SMEs and families already growing " , as stated this Tuesday Secretary of State for Economy , Fernando Jiménez Latorre. "Banks have a comfortable capital position to meet the demand ," he argued before ensuring that if the statistics say now that it's growing, " take some to be a general perception and there are no problems of access to credit for businesses and families , "says Inigo Barron .
From this perspective, corporate entities granted 10,964,000 in loans of less than one million euros in February , which compared with the same period in 2013 shows an increase of 5.9%. It is the fifth monthly gain .
The problem appears when loans also computed over a million euros, with 14,200 million plummet 32 % over February 2013. Together the two sections, the balance is a fall of 20 %.

Role of refinancing
The experts, in any case recommend caution when approaching this statistic because it also includes new loan refinances that do not correspond to 100% with new credit. On the opposite side , is the more relevant in view of the economic recovery , recovery will not be complete until I get financing entire business .
"With due caution ," said Joaquín Maudos , " there is evidence that suggests that there has been a turning point in the credit." The growth of new credit, adds Professor of economic analysis at the University of Valencia, "is compatible with the fall of live stock ," which calls " desable " after the housing bubble.
Looking ahead , Paula Papp , Afi analyst , predicts that 2014 will end in a draw. "It's good that they are starting to revive credit , but this year is not going to move the total balance ," says in reference to the demand will not recover until growth take force.
Since the Bank of Spain , the lieutenant governor , Fernando Restoy , admitted that "the data are what they are , but are seeing signs of stabilization in the rate of fall of the credit."
