Agents of the National Police have arrested 16 people allegedly involved in the theft of a ton of hashish that was stored on the premises of the office of Huelva. The obtained DNA evidence collected by police identified two people a few days after the theft, which occurred while the chimes sounded from last New Year's Eve, according to the Directorate General of the Police.
The investigation triggered after the first arrests in late February, and led eventually to the other people involved in the assault. Among those arrested is a campus security guard who allegedly facilitated the thieves command that opens the door of the premises and the password to disable the alarm. That was on Dec. 31, when several hooded-at least 10 - agreed to the premises where the drugs were stored and took it in under three minutes. They fled in two vehicles and a trailer stolen SUV, and wearing dark sports clothing, ski masks, hoods and gloves, hampering identification. Fled precipitately to realize that some neighbors had sounded the alarm.
Since the beginning of the investigation there were several details that made investigators suspect Narcotics Group Huelva involvement in the theft of someone who could work on site. In addition, the Scientific Police found footprints in the store and later, after recovering in Seville the trailer used by the robbers, found other remains useful for research.
The obtained DNA identified two people with a history of numerous crimes against property and public health. With all the evidence to the police then arrested on February 22, six people, four of them directly involved in the theft. In addition there were five records in Huelva and involved three luxury cars purchased in the days after the robbery. That same day another five records were made in Seville, the Seville town of Carmona and Sanlucar de Barrameda (Cádiz) and, days later the Seville UDYCO arrested another member of the group investigated.
A second research phase ended on March 4, when he was captured by the security guard of the building of the Customs of Huelva, who allegedly provided the band information about where the drug was stored and the command that opens the door access to facilities and the key to disable the alarm. It was also found out that, the guard had stolen previously arrested at least three bales of hashish about 30 kilos each, selling them through the mediation of five individuals who were also arrested at this stage. It also identified the person who led the theft, which is yet to stop.
Finally, on March 14 were arrested two more people in Gava (Barcelona), with the collaboration of agents Police Headquarters in Barcelona. After a record in their homes were seized 24 kilos of hashish four. Later in Seville arrested two other individuals related to the previously registered address. Six of the 16 detainees are imprisoned and court order.
