The food industry exports amounted Spanish 2012-22078000 euros, according to data handled by the Federation of Industries of Food and Beverage, representing an increase of 9.4% over the previous year. The sales growth abroad triples the progress made by all Spanish exports despite rising protectionist barriers have launched different countries to defend their productions. Selling products at lower prices has been one of the reasons that has driven the surge in exports of some products, such as wine and oil.
