Novagalicia has returned to profit in 2013 , attributed to a group of 17.9 million euros, compared with a loss of more than 7,900 million euros the previous year results , as reported by the company Tuesday . In a statement to the National Securities Market Commission ( CNMV ) , indicates that allocated to provisions of EUR 1.309 million and the profit before reorganization in 2013 amounted to 871 million euros. The company ended the year with a core capital ratio of 11.6 % , customer deposits worth 29.357 million euros and Credit by 25,255,000 euros. Total assets stood at 52.687 million euros.
The bank was able to reduce operating expenses by 36.5 % to EUR 608 million and ended the year with a network of 592 offices 580 branches operating in Spain ( 541 in Galicia ) , plus twelve offices abroad . The staff of the bank's parent was 4,362 professionals. The bank reduced by 23 % fee income due to business strategy to eliminate the collection of administrative fees to customers with higher levels of attachment and fidelity. Net fee income reached 163 million euros. The ratio of net commissions on turnover remains stable.

Last December, the Venezuelan group Banesco was the winner of the auctioned Novagalicia . The FROB closed the sale of 1,003 million euros , 400 million paid upon transaction and other 603 to be paid in installments through 2018 is formalized. Banesco made the purchase through Bank Etchevarría and took 88.3 % of the bank , 63% owned by the state and 15% more than the Deposit Guarantee Fund (FGD ) , which bought securities to small investors the former boxes .
