Confidence in the economy of Spain gets pre-crisis levels
The economic sentiment indicator up from February by 2.2 points

Confidence in the economic situation in Spain rose in March to a peak in autumn 2007 , an upward trend was also recorded in the euro zone , said Friday the European Commission. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI ) rose in Spain this month compared to the previous 2.2 points to 102.5 points , which means that it is " at its highest level since September 2007 ," said the spokesman Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Commission , Simon O'Connor .
In the euro area also rose by 1.2 points to 102.4 points , while the Twenty-eight remained stable with a marginal growth of 0.3 points to 105.3 points. The five largest economies in the euro area saw their ISE increase , "generally fueled by buoyant consumer confidence ," remarked the Commission.

Netherlands recorded the largest increase , with 2.3 points , followed by Spain and Italy ( 1.3 points ), while increases in the two largest euro economy were " more modest " , with 0.7 points in France and 0.4 points in Germany. By sector , the increase in ISE in the whole euro area was mainly due to said consumer confidence ( 3.4 points ), which was accompanied by some increases " modest in comparison" in the service sector ( 0.9 ) and retail trade ( 0.4) .
