Reuters has fired Mathew Keys, a social media editor, a month after authorities U.S. Justice accused him of conspiring with the group Anonymous to break into the web of Tribune Corporation.
Keys confirmed Monday his dismissal on Twitter: "Reuters has fired me from today. Shall present a grievance". David Girardin, Thomson Reuters spokeswoman confirmed that Keys is no longer in the company.
On March 14, the Justice Department accused Keys provide access credentials Anonymous members of a computer server owned by Tribune Co. Prosecutors said Keys, formerly web producer for KTXL Fox 40 in Sacramento (California ) anonymous encouraged members to enter the site.
