Spanish Minister of Economy, Luis de Guindos, said today that the government "will implement the regulations" in changing the management team of Catalunya Banc, in relation to the conditions of the removal of the president of the company, Afolf Todó.
On arrival at the meeting of holders of Economy and Finance of the euro area (Eurogroup), De Guindos said he has not decided to freeze the pension Todó, sacked on Friday with immediate effect, it will apply the corresponding rules .
"There is an issue of the pension freeze, at this time there is a change management team Catalunya Banc and have to apply the rules, and the Government will apply the regulations" he said.
The Governing Committee of the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring (FROB) agreed on Friday Todó immediate dismissal, to be relieved of office by José Carlos Pla, until just three weeks ago CajaSur president.
José Carlos Pla (Tarragona, 1952) assume the reins of the nationalized entity from next June 1.
The FROB also agreed Friday over from CEO of Catalunya Banc, Jaume Masana.
