Ryanair continues its shift strategy. This Irish company , which claims to be " the only ultralowcost airline" and famous for its strict transport conditions and treatment of their customers, is a year smoothing its forms. After beginning a strategy of image laundering by allowing carry two tote bags on board and reduce slightly some of the fines that apply to users with excess baggage , has decided to launch new services for groups or companies and business customers, in what seems an attempt to broaden its customer base . Search 28.7 million travelers capture more in six years, to 110 million .
The airline carried to Spain in 2013 over 27 million passengers. Spain is the largest volume of travelers, but the result of last year is 5% lower than last year. Overall in Europe grew their occupation ( accumulated 81.3 million passengers, compared with 79.6 last year) , but the forecasts point to a drop in its profit , although it has not yet published its annual figuresfras . To begin the year, and encourage their occupation , Ryanair has put on its website in place a system for group bookings and corporate travel . The company said in a statement that is intended to " schools, sports clubs and other organizations."
This is not the only new places : the business customer is your next target. Although its president, Michael O'Leary , has always boasted that part of the success of the company comes from its standardization (all planes are equal, the airplane had no assigned seat until this year and space for luggage is set millimeter ) now launch some services (fee ) for business customers, business as " flexible tickets , reserved seating and quick service at selected airports ."
Lesley Kane , formerly head of the department of marketing and sales for Europe, has been appointed as the new director of the department of groups and corporate travel . As indicated , also in a statement, Michael O'Leary " Ryanair's entry into these new markets will make your travel costs down significantly ." With the new services , the company has proposed to reach the 110 million passengers 2019.
