Employment Minister Fatima Banez, said Wednesday that the plan to combat illegal employment has brought to the surface these 57,457 jobs through September, representing an increase of 11.86% over the same period of 2011.
Banez, who gave this information during a meeting with regional directors and provincial leaders of the Labour Inspectorate, has indicated that between January and September 160 494 inspections were carried out on irregular employment. Of these, 15,097 were performances on unemployment benefits, which allowed employers detect violations 4730, 30% more than in the first nine months of 2011.
Also been detected improperly counted 6943 workers with work performance or fraudulently obtained, representing an increase of 50%. There have also been 14,110 inspections in the fight against bogus companies, 70.5% more than 1064 have identified violations, up 411.5% from September 2011. Labor Inspection
During his speech, Banez has highlighted the work of the inspectors, "who have adapted to the realities of the job market for law enforcement." Banez stressed that occupational fraud involves a threefold decrease prejudice because the rights of workers, is unfair competition and threatens the Social Security system. He also underlined that this year are joining nearly 100 new officers, 69 inspectors and 52 sub-inspectors, and expressed his confidence that in 2013 there will be some more new equipment to combat fraud.
