La Federación de Distribuidores Cinematográficos (FEDICINE) y la Unión Videográfica (UVE) han presentado esta mañana en rueda de prensa la página web www.mesientodecine.com, que pretende ayudar al usuario a encontrar toda la oferta legal de cine existente en España y cuenta con más de 20.000 títulos disponibles en las 19 plataformas digitales que permiten ver cine respetando los derechos de propiedad intelectual.
El acto ha estado apadrinado por el secretario de Estado de Cultura, José María Lassalle, quien ha aprovechado para declarar que la Comisión de Propiedad Intelectual no funciona "todo lo bien que debería", ya que existen "obstáculos en cuanto al trabajo y al funcionamiento cotidiano" que aconsejan mejorar su desarrollo.
El responsable ministerial ha admitido que el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte se está planteando la posibilidad de mejorar su desarrollo, "sobre la base de la experiencia que estamos acumulando". No obstante, ha añadido que dado que la tramitación "se hará de manera pública, todos tendrán conocimiento de cómo se va a orientar el modelo que tratará de superar las ineficiencias que se han ido percibiendo a lo largo de estos meses".
Desde su entrada en funcionamiento el pasado marzo, la Comisión, que es la encargada de proteger los derechos de propiedad intelectual de su vulneración, ha resuelto más de 350 solicitudes. De estas, 244 han sido archivadas al no subsanar la solicitud que, de partida, o era defectuosa o estaba poco fundamentada, y otras diez se han resuelto mediante su archivo porque se han retirado los contenidos vulneradores de derechos de propiedad intelectual.
En su calidad de comisión administrativa capacitada para bloquear las páginas web que faciliten las descargas piratas de contenidos intelectuales, ya sea cine o música, cabe destacar que aparte, aunque dentro del ámbito de actuación de la Comisión, ocho páginas web de enlaces notificadas como terceros intermediarios (es decir, que no son objeto directo de la solicitud) han cesado su actividad, han retirado contenidos parcial o totalmente, o están intentando cambiar de modelo.
Fuentes del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, han puntualizado que los resultados en cuanto a la retirada de contenidos vulneradores de derechos "está siendo positiva".
