Nearly nine out of ten Spanish (88%) believe that taxes are not paid fairly, because they believe that those who have more pay more, while two-thirds of the public (66.3%) are convinced that pay many taxes. In addition, 64.6% believe that the state receives less than they pay in taxes and contributions in health services, social security, education and roads, among others.
According to the annual survey on public opinion and fiscal policy of the Centre for Sociological Research (CIS), 66.4% of respondents think that what you pay in taxes to the state will benefit little or nothing.
