This morning has started a new round of partial strikes in Madrid public transport with service interruptions subway between 6.05 and 8.50 with a minimum service of 47%. For buses Municipal Transport Company (EMT), the strikes began yesterday between eleven at night and one in the morning, and continued to 6:00 to 8:00. Metro de Madrid has estimated tracking by 46%, with 100% compliance of minimum services. The EMT, meanwhile, has estimated 50.25% track in city buses. The head of the suburban CCOO, Ignacio Arribas, said that monitoring was 97% in Metro and 100% in the EMT. Arribas has also ensured that there were no incidents during the course of the strikes.
The strikes will continue this afternoon in the transport network. The 7600 Madrid subway workers are also called to endorse afternoon breaks between half past five and half past eight with a minimum service of 42%. Meanwhile, the 8600 urban bus drivers of the EMT are called a strike of 6:30 to 20:30. This day of strikes today is the fourth that made jointly Madrid Metro and EMT in a month.
