Telemadrid workers have extended the strike call maintaining since last Monday until Friday at midnight after the leadership of public entity submitted to the Directorate of Labour Force Adjustment of Employment (ERE) announced. Unions have been invited by the management of the company to maintain this morning a workshop in which they hope to receive documentation of collective redundancies.
While continuing with the strike, partial strikes have called for Saturday (14.00-15.00 and 20.30-21.30), Sunday (same hours) and Monday (8.30-9.30, 13.00-15.00 and 20.30-21.30). "They have refused to negotiate before filing the ERE and so we decided to continue the strike assembly" Servimedia explained to the president of council, Teresa Garcia.
Celia Soria, UGT spokesman at the public broadcaster, added that workers on Monday a new assembly will decide on the evolution of the demonstrations. A spokesman explained Telemadrid Efe that the company will not appreciate this new call for strikes, which, for now, the public body has not received official communication.
Line workers went yesterday to the Real Casa de Correos to protest outside the headquarters of the regional government. Inside, dozens of guests celebrated Constitution Day with President Ignacio Gonzalez to the head.

The viability plan that is based on the ERE was prepared by an external consultant (a joint venture formed by Deloitte and Cuatrecasas that has claimed 169,400 euros for the work).
