The plan PIVE is cushioning the sharp decline that had chained the car sales during the first nine months of the year, albeit very slight. The registrations for the month fell 20.3% over the same month last year, according to the statement issued this morning. There were 48,155 registrations. The fall in October from the same month last year had located a few tenths above, at 21.7%.
Any good news is greeted with great joy in an industry to which the crisis is inflicting painful wounds. The professionals expected a drop 15 points higher this month and come with joy how sales increased 7% between November and October.
The plan was requested by 40,000 PIVE buyers since its launch
So far this year, the number of sales has dropped to the 648,392, 12.3% less than the more than 740,000 in the same period of 2011. Following the announcement of this incentive to consumers would be encouraged to purchase the car, even after a damaging VAT rise, the fall has been relaxed: between January and October had risen to 15%. The plan is quilting expected a fall very hard, but not as disastrous as was suspected and early summer. Even so, the data will remain in 2012 away from the 808,000 units sold last year.
Reservations for assistance from the Government's plan to encourage the purchase of cars have arrived in November to 40,000, more than half of the previews. The automobile associations provide that funds amounting to 75 million euros, will last until January. Through this plan, the owners of a car over 12 years (10 years for light commercial vehicles) will receive 2,000 euros if they change it with a new low consumption and emissions. The Administration provides $ 1,000 of support, while the manufacturer funded the same. The price of the vehicle purchased may not exceed 25,000 euros (excluding VAT), except in the case of an electric or plug-in hybrid.
Hopes are now placed at the end of the year. "We hope that the December record a better result because it added to the Plan PIVE commercial offers year-end," said communications director of the Spanish Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Anfac, David Barrientos. After a year of great difficulty seeing how the crisis was particularly harmful to the automotive industry, it seems that the final numbers are atemperarán.
By regions, no region has evolved to rising enrollments and monthly highlights the sharp falls of 40.6% in the Canary Islands, from 35% in Asturias, and 23% in Castilla y Leon, being the best performing Baleares (- 4.8%) and Navarra (-9.3%). For brands, Citroen has positioned itself as a leader in November, with 3951 units ahead of Volkswagen, with 3929, while in the German YTD is in first position (58,584 units).
As segments, November has not given any opportunity to increase enrollment, which ends are between 46.5% of large SUVs and 13% of medium-low and compact. The fuel cycle is dominated by diesel, with a 71.3% share, one percentage point higher than in October, compared to 27.2% for gasoline and 1.5% of hybrid and electric.
