Banco de Valencia and unions have closed this morning a preliminary agreement on the record of employment regulation (ERE) which will affect 795 employees, of which 231 will be early retirement from age 53 and the rest (564), low compensation.
The preliminary agreement, reached at 0400 hours today and will be initialed at one this afternoon at the headquarters of the organization, involves desconvocatoria the strike scheduled for tomorrow. According to the document, the date of effect for both early retirement and for the low compensation ranges from 1 March until 31 December this year.
In the case of redundancy, the draft agreement provides for compensation of 30 days per year worked, with limits of 24 months for those under 50 and 36 for the older.
Banco de Valencia started the negotiation of labor adjustment on 15 January from initial figures of 890 layoffs, about 60 percent of the workforce, a total of 1,613 workers. The proposals of the unions have turned to lower the number of concerned and improve the conditions of early retirement, the point where the application had claimed from 53 years covering 80, 82 and 85% depending on the age . Finally, the agreement provides for the payment of 80% or 85% of net salary depending on age. The annual maximum is 35,000 euros and, along the pre-retirement period, which will end at age 63, from 250,000 euros.
Another aspect was that of Company contributions to pension plans with current salary as if retirement occurred at age 63. This is the second record of employment regulation that applies to the entity within two years after that in 2012 fired 360 workers and leave the body more than two hundred over 58.5 years.
