The Paradores address today presented to the representatives of the workers, a plan of action to ensure the survival of the company, which is the extinction of 644 jobs, about 14% of the workforce. The objective of this restructuring, the company said in a statement, is to ensure the continuity of Paradores, "adapting to the reality of the sector and the current demand, controlling operating costs, reaching competitive position and reduce the accumulated losses since 2007" .

In this sense, House believes that the financial situation of the company is "unsustainable" due to falling demand, from an occupancy rate of 70% in 2007 to 52% in 2012. House points out that so far had been implemented numerous measures such as reducing operating costs, consumption and business expenses and optimizing internal processes, which had managed to achieve, to October, a figure in saving around 20 million euros.
However, these measures, although "effective and successful", have been "insufficient to reach the levels necessary cost reduction", so say "it is inevitable to undertake a restructuring and workforce centers currently very oversized and far from industry standards. The direction of House notes that made everything "effort to implement a social plan that minimizes the effects of the measure."
