Spain retire this year to 70% of the total quota which once had in Afghanistan (1,200 troops) and not 50% as now was officially planned, as announced in Brussels on Defence Minister Peter Morenés, who participates in a meeting with NATO counterparts. At year end there will only be in Afghanistan between 200 and 300 Spanish soldiers, compared to 863 who are now, "if things go as they are going, is, well," stated the minister.
