Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on Monday recommended Edward Snowden, the source of the leak cyber espionage network in the U.S., seeking asylum in Latin America.
In an interview with CNN, Assange, who has taken refuge in the Embassy of Ecuador in London to avoid extradition to Sweden, recommended "strongly" Snowden that "leaves for Latin America".
"In the last 10 years, Latin America is advanced with respect to human rights and has a long tradition of asylum" Assange said in his television interview.
Snowden Sunday claimed responsibility for leaking to newspapers The Guardian and The Washington Post the details of espionage conducted National Security Agency (NSA) with those obtained millions of phone records in the United States every day and to access information stored on the servers of the leading Internet companies.
