The Mango fashion multinational closed 2012 with a profit after tax of 113.4 million euros, up 79% compared to 63.3 million in 2011, and created about 2,000 jobs worldwide, as explained by the company a statement. The 84% of turnover comes from abroad.
The companies said Isak Andic presiding results recorded in 2011 lower than usual because of its policy of expansion, but in 2012 soared thanks to improvements in marketing, window displays, catalog, collection, pricing, distribution and advertising.
The firm based in Palau-solità Plegamans (Barcelona) explained that of the 2,000 jobs created in 2012, 334 were in Spain. The 70% of the total were for children under 30 years. With these new jobs, Mango now employs 12,000 people in 2,600 points of sale in 107 countries. In 2012 opened 197 stores: 17 in Spain and 180 abroad.
