 FCC has been awarded the contract for the design, construction, operation and maintenance Toyo tunnel in the port of Uraba (about 80 kilometers from Medellin) with a budget of 392 million euros (1.1 trillion Colombian pesos) as it reported by the company in a statement. The project, located between the towns of Giraldo and Cañasgordas, about 500 kilometers northwest of the capital Bogota, involves the construction of a stretch of road redrawing of 40.84 kilometers long two-way and a lane in each direction, while there will be a stretch of dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction. This stretch will cross the mountains of western Antioquia, in an area of ​​difficult access.
The works will improve the connectivity of Medellin and Uraba region, since the route between the capital of Antioquia and Urabá will increase from the current six hours to three hours in the case of private vehicles and once it becomes operational the entire Toyo tunnel project. For trucks, the journey takes about four hours. At this lower journey also help the implementation of motorways Mar 1, Mar 2 and Prosperity, among other infrastructure in the region.

 FCC hat den Zuschlag für die Planung, den Bau, Betrieb und Instandhaltung Toyo Tunnel im Hafen von Uraba (etwa 80 Kilometer von Medellin) mit einem Budget von 392 Mio. Euro (1,1 Billionen kolumbianische Pesos) ausgezeichnet wie berichtet, durch das Unternehmen in einer Erklärung.
