The textile company Swedish Hennes & Mauritz (H & M) posted a net profit of 16.867 million Swedish kronor (1,963 million euros) at the end of fiscal 2012, which ended Nov. 30, which represents an increase of 6, 6% on the previous year, the company said. During the year 2012, the Swedish company landed in five new markets and generated more than 10,000 new jobs, bringing the worldwide staff of H & M over 100,000 workers. The turnover of the second largest European airline sector after the Spanish Inditex, reached 140.948 million Swiss francs (16.389 million euros), up 9.4%, while in comparable terms increased 1%.
"The strong rate of growth is maintained in 2013 with the planned opening of 325 net new stores, which is in fact the opening of a virtual store every day," said the CEO of H & M, Karl-Johan Persson, who said the main focus of the company's expansion will again be China and the U.S., while the company will land in five new countries: Chile, Estonia, Lithuania, Serbia and Indonesia.
