The Government has formalized this Friday the 1% increase in pensions for 2013, and 2% for retirees who earn less than 1,000 euros a month. It has also set the amounts of the minimum retirement pension, set from 7812 euros per year, and the maximum, which may not exceed EUR 35,673.68. As for non-contributory pensions, will be located in 5,108.60 euros.
The pension increase comes after the Government has decided not to pay more than 8.1 million pensioners by the deviation of inflation in 2012. This means, in practice, a lowering of pensions. In January 2012 pensions also rose 1%. But according to the rule, had to wait until November to see how much prices go up eventually and revise the initial climb. And inflation stood at 2.9% in noviembre.Esto supposed that the Government should pay the difference. He decided not to. Translation: this year pensioners lose purchasing power.

However, the executive has not frozen pensions in 2013, as did Zapatero in 2011. In 2013 will rise by 1%, the same increase that was adopted in 2012, as already foreseen in the budget. For those facilities that do not exceed $ 1,000, which account for 70% of total pension or 6.6 million, the increase will be 2%.
The table included in the Royal Decree approved today by the Council of Ministers sets the minimum retirement pension for a worker aged 65 8383.20 per year. It also sets the minimum amounts of permanent disability pensions, widows and orphans (see chart).
