Bachelet decreed regions affected disaster area

Shortly before two o'clock in Chile, from one of the halls of the Palacio de La Moneda , President Michelle Bachelet has made its first public appearance after the earthquake and tsunami alert that occurred Tuesday. It has announced that it has declared disaster areas in the two northern regions of Chile affected by the earthquake of 8.2 degrees, which will from now controlled by representatives of the Army and the Air Force. Bachelet will travel to the affected area within hours and has used his press conference about five minutes to thank the solidarity of the president of Argentina , Cristina Fernández , the president of Peru and Ollanta Humala , who called by telephone to offer assistance to Chile.
