Young people remain the biggest losers in the labor market (almost) every other is unemployed. The unemployment rate for children under 25 years has climbed to 48.56% in the last quarter of last year, according to the Labour Force Survey.

Since the outbreak of the crisis, the unemployment rate has nearly tripled among young people, and are now almost 900,000 job seekers with no success.
The previous government introduced a series of measures in the last labor reform to try to facilitate the entry of young people in the labor market: increased permanent recruitment bonuses for workers aged 16 to 30 years, and the conversion of contracts training and practice in undefined. Also expanded from 21 to 24 years the age at which they can sign a training contract.
Moreover, apart from having a high rate of unemployment, young people are among the most affected by the high rate of temporary labor market (now at 25%).
