Barcelona City Council has responded to 166 'homeless' by the cold wave

Most have been taken immediately to the emergency center and social emergencies or shelters set up by the cold season

Barcelona. (EFE). - The Social Services of the City of Barcelona have attended tonight at 166 'homeless' by the cold wave, most of whom have gone directly to the emergency room and social emergencies or shelters set up by the wave cold.

As reported today in a statement the council, in this seventh consecutive night with Operation Cold intervened enabled 51 professionals, including technicians of social emergency teams and volunteers from the Red Cross.

The operation was activated last Wednesday, February 1, with a reinforcement of the emergency teams of Emergency Center Social Hall located throughout the city, which detect people 'homeless' and inform them of the possibility stay in a center to avoid the cold street.
