EDITORIAL Paying for Palomares 19/12/2010 In January 1966 two American aircraft suffered an accident and some of the nuclear bombs fell on Palomares carrying, Almería. Much of the contamination was removed by U.S. troops. But 45 years later, still areas with a degree of pollution is not dangerous to humans, given the continued control of land and population, but not freeing up land for unrestricted use. The Spanish authorities have been pressing to settle the problem.
