 Los vecinos de Ciutat Vella han protagonizado esta mañana dos actos reivindicativos en el corazón del barrio barcelonés del Raval en el que han reclamado, por un lado, que cese la presión ejercida por el consistorio contra las prostitutas de la calle de Robadors y, por otra, reivindican un mercado de la Boqueria que destine sus paradas proveer los vecinos de la zona y no los turistas.
A las 12.00 de la mañana comenzaba las primera de las concentraciones. El colectivo Putas Indignadas acompañado por otras asociaciones del barrio y por las Red Vecinal Ciudad Vieja se han plantado frente al número 25 de la calle de Robadors. Un edificio en el que vivían y trabajaban varias prostitutas y que fue comprado en diciembre pasado por el Ayuntamiento que ha tapiado, recientemente, varios de los inmuebles.
Dos vecinos se han caracterizado como el alcalde Xavier Trias, y como el edil de Ciutat Vella, Mercè Homs. Los personajes afirmaban que querían que el Raval fuera "un lugar para turistas en el que no sólo sobran las prostitutas, también sobran los vecinos".
Montse Neira, portavoz de la Asamblea de Activistas Pro-Derechos sobre el Trabajo Sexual de Cataluña, constituida ayer, se mostró muy reivindicativa tras considerar que el Ayuntamiento quiere hacerlas fuera del barrio: "No tenemos los mismos recursos pero lucharemos contra la violencia de las instituciones para nuestro trabajo y nuestras familias ".
Una de las representantes del colectivo Putas Indignadas, Paula Ezquerra, ha declarado la guerra al consistorio: "Acaba de empezar la lucha, somos las putas de la calle, las de la clase baja, y no pararemos hasta que se nos devuelvan las nuestras casas, nuestro espacio y nuestra dignidad ". Janet, otra de las portavoces del grupo, remarcó: "Si trabajo con mi sexualidad no quiero ser criminalizada porque cuando llevo mi dinero en el banco nadie hace ascos".
Varios colectivos de vecinos, como la asamblea del Raval o la Red Vecinal Ciudad Vieja, han apoyado las reivindicaciones de las prostitutas y han denunciado la supuesta especulación inmobiliaria que se está haciendo en el barrio.
